MCJTC & MCATC CARPENTRY PROJECT

Marion County Jobs Training Consortium brings outdoor classroom training to a new level in Lebanon Kentucky. Students from the Marion County Area Technology Center will go on site each day and construction a 1,200 square foot house on Beechwood Street in Lebanon. The foundation was in place when the MCJTC purchased the property. The lot will act as an outdoor classroom where students will learn lessons in construction each day. Performing tasks such as blueprint reading, ordering materials, planning, timelines/deadlines, problem solving and teamwork as they measure, cut, saw and hammer to build a home. These skills and trades will be stepping stones used as they enter the workforce.

This Marion County Jobs Training Consortium project is a great example of partnerships that bring our industry, community, and education together in Lebanon.

Marion County Office of Economic Development welcomes TG Kentucky President Takashi Fujii

On July 29, 2010 local officials joined the Marion County Office of Economic Development as they welcome Takashi Fujii, President of TG Kentucky to Lebanon.
